The Mezzo Forte Music Club met last night at the home of Billy Allen. The rooms were decorated in summer flowers and the ceilings with streamers. A short business meeting was held and cookies and Cadron punch were served. Card games were played.

Miss Molly Paulk, who graduated from Hendrix College in June, will join the staff of the Arkansas School for Blind in Little Rock next month.

Miss Paulk daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde A. Paulk of Conway, will teach piano and public school music.

She also will serve as organist and choir director at Oak Forest Methodist Church in Little Rock.

Vilonia players gathered in a spirit huddle in the rain yesterday under the watchful eye of coach David Bangs as the Eagles began football practice. Rain eventually drove the Vilonia players indoors to the weight room. All Faulkner County teams except Mayflower, which begins tomorrow, began fall drills yesterday. Season openers are Thursday, Sept. 3. The Thursday night opening, common throughout the state, is due to a request by Arkansas tourism officials for high schools not to schedule events during the Labor Day weekend.

Chenoa Parker was named employee of the month at American Management Corp. A Quitman resident, she works in the policy processing unit and has been with the company since 1999.
