Miss Shea Aden and Mr. Kevin Koone, both of Dongola, Illinois, were united in marriage at 3 p.m. on June 2, 2012, in an outdoor double-ring ceremony at Fern Clyffe State Park in Goreville, Ill., officiated by Bro. Freddie Mark Wilcox of Greenbrier.
The bride is the daughter of Shaun Aden and Cindy Dallas of Dongola, Ill. She is the granddaughter of Verna and the late Charles Aden of Marion, Ill., and the late Bill and Tressie Dallas of Dongola.
The groom is the son of Mark and Donna Koone of Greenbrier. He is the grandson of Cleon and Marilyn Koone of Greenbrier and Vernon and Bobbie Palmer of Conway.
The ceremony took place in a casual outdoor wedding decorated with potted flowers. Family members were seated on hay bales.
Donavan Wright, of Dongola, played the guitar and sang “I’ll Be Here For You,” by Robert Earl Keen.
The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a tea-length white vintage lace dress featuring a ruffled sweetheart heartline, A-line skirt with ruffled hem, and a champagne satin sash at the waist.
Presley Hoffman of Dongola, niece of the bride, presented the rings.
A picnic reception followed the ceremony at Fern Clyffe in the Lake View Pavilion.
The tables were decorated with burlap runners adorned with corn, wine bottles and Mason jars filled with pebbles, sunflowers and lemons.
A small cake for the couple topped with sunflowers was displayed along with tiers of cupcakes for the guests.
An Arkansas reception was held for the couple, June 10, 2012, at LifeSong Baptist Church in Greenbrier.
After a short trip to Kentucky, Mr. and Mrs. Koone are currently residing in Dongola, Ill.
