Miss Ragen LeAnn VanPelt and Mr. Christopher Scott Reeves, both of Conway, were united in marriage at 3 p.m., on May 6th, 2012, at An Enchanting Evening in Roland, Ark., in a double ring ceremony officiated by Jared Bridges.
The bride is the daughter of Tony and Tena VanPelt of Conway. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Ann VanPelt and Ernest Junior Dowdy of Conway and the late Mrs. Norma Lee Dowdy-Biggs and the late Mr. John Edward VanPelt, and the great-granddaughter or Ms. Erma Lee Southerland-Rackley of Heber Springs, Ark.
The groom is the son of Mark and Kim Reeves of Conway. He is the grandson of Karl and Connie Warnick of Conway, Carolyn Reeves of Harrison, Loren Reeves of Clinton, and the late Grover Treat of Toms River, N.J.
The outdoor wedding was decorated with a French garden theme, with colors of yellow and green. Centerpieces consisted of different styles and sizes of lanterns, decorated with yellow and white Gerbera daisies, peonies and yellow tea roses, along with antique Ball jars filled with floral arrangement, were placed on guest tables covered with yellow and green table clothes.
The bride entered to the “Bridal March,” escorted by her father. The bride wore a strapless white satin gown with a sweetheart neckline with metallic embroidery, crystal beading, sequins and rhinestone accents that extended to a chapel train. She also wore clover green heels to match her bridesmaid colors. She carried a European style bouquet made of white roses, peonies, Gerbera daisies and freesia with accents of white feathers.
Jessica Miller severed as the matron of honor and Amanda Brewer severed as the maid of honor, both of Conway.
Bridesmaids were Melissa Vaughan, Hannah Reeves, Shelbi Carpenter, all of Conway, and Jill Savage of Calera, Ala.
They wore clover green short strapless side drape style dresses with an intricate swirl rhinestone pattern high heel shoe.
Their bouquets were a posy-style, consisting of Gerbera daisy, sunflowers and freesias.
Junior bridesmaid was Bayleigh Williams of Conway, cousin to the bride. She wore a clover green Y-neckline, bubble hem style dress made of crinkle chiffon and charmeuse.
Flower girl was Nicole Nordrum of Conway, cousin of the bride. She wore a canary yellow Y-neckline, bubble hem style dress made of crinkle chiffon and charmeuse.
Ring bearer was Aiden Adams, cousin of the groom, who carried a vintage-style sign down the aisle.
Best man was Dustin Reeves, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Chris McGinty, Cody Quattlebaum, Rusty Miller, Josh Stanley and Dustin VanPelt, all of Conway.
Presiding at the bride’s book was Hope Quattlebaum and the bride’s cousin Rebecca Hearn.
The bride’s mother wore a knee-length steel colored dress of shimmering fabric with a ¾-length sleeve jacket with a tiered skirt, and the mother of the groom wore a charcoal grey cap sleeve knee-length dress with a tiered skirt.
The reception was also held at An Enchanting Evening overlooking a gorgeous view of Pinnacle Mountain and Lake Maumelle.
The five-tier white wedding cake was decorated with a silver bedazzled “R” topper, for the couple’s last name.
The groom’s table was decorated with a Razorback theme.
The guests enjoyed a buffet of heavy hors d’oeuvres catered by Samantha Bull and Becky Harper, both of Sheridan, Ark.
Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Reeves took a honeymoon trip to Saint Lucia, and are currently residing in Conway.
