Mr. and Mrs. L.E. Milligan have bought and moved into the residence at 1820 Mill St.

Rita Little of Guy was named runner-up in the Sweetheart Contest at the Arkansas-Oklahoma Rodeo last week in Fort Smith.

Miss Little is the Faulkner County Rodeo Queen.

She is a student at Arkansas State Teachers College.

It was announced at the Rodeo that Judy Montgomery of Conway, last year’s Arkansas-Oklahoma Rodeo Sweetheart, was first runner-up in the Miss Rodeo America Contest in Las Vegas, Nev., last fall.

Two students from Faulkner County were among the 231 students who received degrees during commencement exercises May 9 at Ouachita Baptist University.

Kimma Lee Harper of Vilonia received a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics. She graduated with cum laude honors, with a grade point average of at least 3.50.

Steven B. Pascoe of Conway received a bachelor of science degree in biology.

Pascoe was one of 11 cadets of the U.S. Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corp detachment at Ouachita who were commissioned as second lieutenants in either the Army reserve ranks or in Regular Army status. Pascoe will serve in the Army Reserve.

Sarah Seiter of Conway, bride-elect of Brad McMillian, also of Conway, was entertained at a miscellaneous shower May 19 at the Conway home of Joan Molder.

Co-hostesses were Sue Strack, Bonnie Moix, Olga Luyet, Lois Coney, Theresa Mallett, Gail Strack, Mary Jo Simon, Eileen Hess and Gaylin McChristian, all of Conway.

The hostess gift was an eight-piece cookware set and corsage.

Miss Seiter and Mr. McMillian are to be married at 7 p.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
