Among the incidents recently reported by the Conway Police Department:
• Commercial burglary at 1010 East Oak St.
An employee of Conway Family Bowl reported Wednesday that someone broke out a set of glass front doors to the business, cut open an ATM inside with an acetylene torch, and stole $3,000 from the machine.
• Arson at the 700 block of First Avenue
Police responded on Wednesday to the scene of a vehicle fire where they found what looked like a Jeep Cherokee burning. The Conway Fire Department put out the fire. Officers were unable to find a vehicle identification number at the time of the fire.
• Breaking or entering on Forrest Lane.
A resident reported Wednesday that, during the night, someone entered her vehicle and stole an Apple MacBook and two hard drives. She told police she thought she left her car unlocked. Total value of items stolen was $2,100.
• Accident with injury at Skyline Drive and Interstate 40
A two-vehicle accident at 11:07 a.m. Wednesday. The driver of a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado was eastbound on Skyline Drive when he collided with the driver of a 2012 Toyota Avalon, who was westbound on Skyline Drive attempting to turn south onto the Interstate 40 on ramp. The driver of the Toyota was found at fault for failure to yield. He and his passenger were taken to the emergency room because of injuries. Damage was estimated at $8,500 to the Toyota and $6,500 to the Chevrolet.
• Breaking or entering on Fernwood Drive
A resident reported Wednesday that all three vehicles parked at her residence had been broken into. A 1994 Chevrolet truck had its dash damaged in a failed attempt by a thief to steal a stereo. Other items stolen included DVDs and a broken cell phone with no service.
A resident reported Wednesday that someone apparently entered his truck and took a Smith & Wesson Sigma.
