Police Beat 6/20/14: Man lies about name, gets arrested anyway

Among the incidents recently reported by the Conway Police Department:

 

Felony warrant arrest at the 1300 block of Donaghey Avenue

Police responded to a disturbance at a residence where they made contact with two men and several women. One of the men ran away, and officers chased him. The man went out a back window and tried to climb over a fence in the back yard. He was caught and arrested on a felony warrant. The other man stayed and talked to police but lied about his name when asked who he was. When the name he gave came back with felony warrants, he told police his real name, which also came back with felony warrants. The second man was also arrested.

Residential burglary on Shakespeare Drive

A resident reported Thursday that someone walked into her open garage and took her purse out of her vehicle. The purse and its contents were valued at $4,500.

Criminal mischief at the 700 block of Factory Street

An employee of Advantage Property Management reported Thursday that someone broke the glass back door of the building and tampered with an air conditioner unit as if trying to remove it from the window. Damage to the door was estimated at $200.

Theft at 1002 East Oak St.

A Hamburg woman reported Thursday that someone stole $30 of medication from her hotel room at the Days Inn. Also, a Paragould woman reported $42 worth of medications stolen from her hotel room at the same time and place.

Criminal mischief at the 1500 block of Clifton Street

A resident reported Wednesday that someone threw eggs on the windshield of her car while it was parked at her apartment. Damage to the windshield was estimated at $100.
