Police Beat 5/27/14: Many thefts over holiday weekend

Among the incidents recently reported by the Conway Police Department:

Theft at 2280 Sanders St.

A cashier at Tractor Supply Store reported that she stepped away from her register for a moment when a woman in the line disappeared with a flower pot and a pair of women’s boots. She saw the woman get into a vehicle after throwing the flower pot and boots through the sunroof of the car. Total value was $150.

Theft at 855 Salem Rd.

A Conway man reported he was pumping gas at the Kroger fuel station when a man approached him and asked him to sign a petition. The victim said he set his wallet down on the pump to sign the petition, and apparently at that time the man stole his credit card from his wallet.

Theft at 3670 Prince St.

Police met with a representative of ETC Engineering and Architects Inc., who reported someone stole some Bobcat attachments. The attachments were valued at 10,500.

Theft at the 3600 block of Butterfly Ln.

A resident reported someone stole his trailer, tractor and box blade from the south side of his home. Total value was $18,300.

Theft at 555 Country Club Rd.

An employee at Conway Country Club reported that someone stole one of the club’s golf carts. One of the employees reportedly forgot to put the cart up for the night. It was valued at $3,700.

Theft at 650 Amity Rd.

An employee at Conway Sales and Leasing reported that someone stole a 2007 Ford Five Hundred from the lot. It was valued at $7,500.
