BB gun believed to be responsible for multiple reports of damaged windows, police say

At least five Conway residents reported a vehicle window being shot out by what appeared to be a BB gun, according to Conway Police Department incident reports.

The five reports released Monday were filed within 24 hours of one another between 7:38 p.m. Saturday and 3:27 p.m. Sunday. Three of the reports were filed Saturday night and Sunday afternoon on three streets — Summerset Drive, Drury Lane and Londonberry Lane — in the same neighborhood at the intersection of Salem Road and Tyler Street.

In all three incidents, officers found a window, or windows, broken out. No projectiles were found. Only one of the three reports made reference to small holes in the window that appeared to have been caused by a BB gun.

Reports were also filed by residents on Morningside Drive and Clifton Street. Again, no projectiles were found at the scenes and only one report made reference to the possibility of a BB gun causing the damage.

According to the Conway Police Department’s calls for service, there were no reports of shots fired at the locations of the incidents. In all, more than $1,600 in damage was reported.
