Dine-and-dash at the Waffle House

Waffle House employees say three black males ate meals and left the restaurant without paying Thursday morning.

Police responded to the 24-hour diner, located in the 800 block of East Oak Street, around 12:10 a.m.

A restaurant cook told police one of the black males walked out, while the other two perpetrators ran in the direction of the nearby Golden Corral.

The cook described one of the black males as heavy set and wearing purple pants and a blue hat or beanie. No description was given for the other two suspects.

According to the police report, the trio’s unpaid meal tickets totaled $37.04.
