Among reports recently released by the Conway Police Department:
•Vehicle breaking or entering, Old Morrilton Highway.
A Conway man said he recently discovered his iPad to be missing from his vehicle, the last place it was seen.
The 47-year-old victim said the last time he saw the iPad was when he took his vehicle to Splash Car Wash, located in the 1500 block of the Old Morrilton Highway, on Dec. 9. The victim said it was located in a bag in the back of his vehicle.
The victim went to get the iPad around 2 p.m. Monday, and noticed it missing. No damage was found to the vehicle, and nothing else was taken, the victim said.
•Theft of property, Halter Road.
The United Parcel Service says three batteries were recently stolen from one of its trucks this weekend.
A UPS employee said the truck was last used around 8 a.m. Friday. No employees were at the UPS location, in the 900 block of Halter Road, from around 6 p.m. Friday until around 3:30 a.m. Monday. The batteries were discovered missing around 4:30 a.m.
Because of the batteries location on the truck, the employee told police the thief or thieves had “specialized equipment,” because the compartments were not broken.
Each batter was valued at $100 in the police report.
•Theft of property, Harkrider Street.
A Mount Vernon woman said her iPhone was stolen while eating with her family at New China on Sunday.
The 50-year-old victim told police she received a text while eating with her family, retrieved her phone to check the message and then placed it on the table as she continued to eat.
When leaving the table to pay, the victim left her phone, and did not realize until after paying for the meal. When she returned, the waiter told her he had not seen her phone.
The victim told police she has called numerous times to see if the phone has been turned in, but restaurant staff informed her it has not.
The phone was valued at $400 in the police report.
•Theft of property, Dave Ward Drive.
A Van Buren County Sheriff’s deputy said his badge was recently stolen from his vehicle.
The 56-year-old Conway resident told police he believes the theft occurred while his truck was serviced at Walmart, located in the 3900 block of Dave Ward Drive, on Sunday.
The deputy said he has contacted the store manger, who is supposed to check security footage.
