A Conway man says his fishing partner is to blame in the recent theft of various tools from his home.

Officers were flagged down by the 61-year-old victim in the 400 block of East Robins Street around 4:19 p.m. Wednesday.

The victim said he had just returned from fishing with a 22-year-old Conway man. The victim said the man fell asleep on his couch, at which time the victim said he went to a neighbor’s house.

While at the neighbor’s house, the victim said he was told to return home, because his fishing partner was probably stealing from his home.

When he returned, the victim said he discovered the man was gone, along with a drill, drill bits and a hand saw. The items were valued at $30 in the police report.
