A Quitman woman, accused in the Aug. 20, 2012, shooting death of 24-year-old Cody Bradley, is due in court Monday.
Jamie Lynn Leach, 21, is set to appear before Faulkner County Circuit Judge Ed Clawson.
Leach, the victim’s girlfriend, was arrested the day of the murder, and charged in the days following.
Bradley was found dead in the residence he shared with Leach at 763 Arkansas 25 North. Authorities say that although Bradley was found naked in a bathtub, no evidence from the scene indicates he was killed while taking a bath, or that there was a struggle.
Police responded to the residence after receiving a 911 call from the victim’s father.
If convicted of first-degree murder, a class Y felony, Leach could face 10 to 40 years or life in prison.
Leach is scheduled to face trial Wednesday in Saline County for a possession of a controlled substance charge stemming from an arrest Feb. 14 at a Wal-Mart in Saline County, which occurred while Leach was out on bond.
Leach faces zero to six years in prison if convicted of the class D felony.
Following the February arrest, Leach’s bond was revoked. She is currently being held at the Faulkner County jail awaiting both trials.
Leach is represented by Frank Shaw in both cases.
