Stabbing story false, police say

Posted: September 25, 2012 - 6:53pm

The story of a stabbing reported to Conway police Sunday was an apparent fabrication according to Conway Police Department public information officer La Tresha Woodruff.

Woodruff said detectives working the case determined the story was false, and the incident stemmed from a domestic dispute that is now under investigation.

According to the original CPD incident report, the victim, a resident at the 3400 block of Irby Drive, was unable to be interviewed by police because of his injury.

In the report, the victim’s wife is listed as telling police her husband relayed a story to her that a masked man entered their residence through an unlocked door and stabbed him.

Woodruff said the woman told police the man was gone before she and her 14-year-old daughter emerged from their bedrooms.

Woodruff said the man received one stab wound to the chest and was flown via medical transport to St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock due to the location of the wound.

Woodruff did not know the condition of the man Tuesday.

You were correct in you assumption

but I still say he was stabbed by someone, even if it was self-inflicted.

It says it was the result of

It says it was the result of a domestic dispute that is under investigation. Nowhere does it say self-inflicted. The wife made the story up because she's probably the one who stabbed him.

All the wife needs to do is...

Tell investigators that she doesn't remember how much of her statement is true and that is that. Hey, I worked a few weeks ago and nobody got charged with anything!!

Pffftttt!

I just don't know what to believe here, he was stabbed but he wasn't stabbed the way it was originally reported? So the wife or the daughter stabbed him? Where did the masked intruder go? Down the street in his Pontiac Sunfire, like the Ninja's of the night?
