One man dead in Morrilton parachuting accident

MORRILTON, AR (KATV) — A man is dead after a parachuting accident in Morrilton on Sunday, according to the Morrilton Police Department.


Police received a call about the parachuting accident at 2:34 p.m. It happened on private property southwest of the Morrilton Airport.


At this time, investigators do not know the cause of the accident. Police are working to notify next of kin.

The accident has been reporter to the Federal Aviation Administration. It will assist with the investigation.
