Wintry weather possible for Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — With cold Arctic air in place over Arkansas, there is a chance for some light wintry weather late Thursday into Friday morning.

 

The disturbance will not have much moisture to work with; however, some sections could see up to 1 inch of snow accumulation.

North Arkansas is expected to receive only a dusting while central to south Arkansas could see a bit more than that. The higher elevations of the Ouachita Mountains could see amounts closer to 1 inch.

This is not going to have major impacts on travel, but there could be a few slick spots on some roadways Friday morning.

Trojans slip past UCA in OT

LITTLE ROCK – Little Rock’s Jaclyn Purvine scored a golden goal in the 95th minute, dribbling through the UCA midfield and sliding the ball into the top-right corner, just past the outstretched fingers of a diving Lauren Mercuri to give the Trojans a 2-1 overtime victory Friday night in the soccer opener for the University of Central Arkansas women.
