Wintry weather possible for Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — With cold Arctic air in place over Arkansas, there is a chance for some light wintry weather late Thursday into Friday morning.

The disturbance will not have much moisture to work with; however, some sections could see up to 1 inch of snow accumulation.

North Arkansas is expected to receive only a dusting while central to south Arkansas could see a bit more than that. The higher elevations of the Ouachita Mountains could see amounts closer to 1 inch.

This is not going to have major impacts on travel, but there could be a few slick spots on some roadways Friday morning.

Stay tuned to KATV for further weather developments and follow the KATV Weather Team on Twitter for the very latest.
