Hendrix sweeps CBC in volleyball


Hendrix College’s volleyball team swept Central Baptist College in two matches Tuesday, 25-10, 25-14, 25-16, and 25-19, 25-6, 25-20.

The Hendrix College volleyball team swept a pair of matches from cross-town foe Central Baptist College at Grove Gymnasium on Tuesday night. The Freshman middle blocker Sara Dyslin paced Hendrix in the first match with nine kills and three aces. In the second match, In the second match, freshman right side Lauren Petrisin hit .500 with 10 kills and Rogers had eight kills.

Three players had three kills each for CBC. Tiffany Curtwright came up with 11 assists and Peyton Cope had 10 digs.


Conway Christian’s boys defeated St. Joseph, 133-142, in a golf match Tuesday at The Links at Cadron Valley.

Tyler Gum was medalist with a 41 and Will Jackson and Aaron Martin shot 42 and 50. respectively.

The Lady Eagles also defeated St. Joseph with Leanna Sartain winning medalist with a 45.


FAYETTEVILLE — Fayetteville defeated the Conway volleyball team,26-24;25-22;25-22, Tuesday night. Mackenzie Dear had 15 kills for Conway. Sara Nethercutt had 26 assists four aces and 12 digs. Aly Brinkley had two blocks for the Lady Cats (2-1).

Conway won the JV game, 25-18, 26-24. k

Kensi Chenoweth had seven kills and Morgan Mourot with 19 assists. Payton Lindsehy had three aces and 13 digs.


The Hendrix College women’s soccer team earned ITS first win of the season Tuesday, downing University of the Ozarks 3-0 at Warrior Field.

Samantha Lallas notched a goal and two assists to lead the team to victory.


The Ruth Doyle Middle School seventh-grade volleyball team defeated Bob Courtway on Tuesday.

The Lady Kittens won, 25-5,25-23. Gracie Melton had six aces while Kenley Mobley had five. Abbi Mourot, Emma Dunlap, and Bailey Burk all had two digs. Kenley Mobley also had one block.

The B team won, 22-25,25-12, 15-5. Blakely Smothers led with four digs while Jade Ferguson had three.
