Make a Child Smile of Central Arkansas and Sheriff's Office team up

Make a Child Smile of Central Arkansas has helped Faulkner County Kids for the last 10 years at Christmas and Back to School time. This year in order to fill the burgeoning need of the community MACS has partnered with the Faulkner County Sheriff Office. The Sheriff’s Office will be at Staples in Conway on Elsinger Boulevard from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 1, filling the truck with school supplies. You can also drop off school supplies at the following locations in Conway for MACS: Bob’s Grill of Conway, Stocks Mortgage Inc., 1st Arkansas Bail Bonds, Faulkner County Sheriff Office, Shear Envy, ERA Team Real Estate, Sonia Bell Nationwide, 8 Mile Store and the Walgreens on Salem Road (this location only). In Greenbrier they can be dropped off at RE/MAX Realty Group and H&R Block. They will begin handing out backpacks Aug. 11, so bring any supplies or backpacks prior to that date. The goal is to handout backpacks to at least 350 students in Faulkner County. MACS will also provide these kids with clothing and hygiene products. It is the mission of MACS to improve these children’s self-esteem by giving them the necessary tools to learn and be healthy. The Sheriff’s Office also feels strongly that encouraging our youth to learn and be healthy is a key to all our county’s future successes. Donations may also be mailed to Make A Child Smile, P.O. Box 2363, Conway, AR 72033. All donations are tax deductible.
