The old Moss two-story residence on Robinson Avenue has been torn down and Gabe Balmaz, who owns the property, is planning to build a permanent home on the site soon.

Mrs. Elaine Goode of Conway has been initiated into the Beta Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, education honor society, at the University of Arkansas.

Mrs. Goode is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ules Watson of Greenbrier. She is married to Dwayne Goode.

Conway Mayor David Kinley signed a proclamation with project chairman Greg Lock and co-chairman Matt Skelton yesterday declaring Friday and Saturday, July 28 and 29, as “Muscular Dystrophy Days” in Conway. The Conway Jaycees will be collecting donations at various locations on those two days.

Lori Case, vice president of marketing, and the First State Bank Grill Masters prepared 150 hamburgers for students who attended Camp Learn-A-Lot, a summer activity for elementary-aged children. Each student also was given an Arkansas state quarter and coloring book from First State Bank.
