Greenbrier: LifeSong hosts singing events

The 165th annual session of the Faulkner County Singing Convention will be at LifeSong Baptist Church on Friday, July 25, at 6 p.m. and Saturday, July 26, at 10 a.m. The church is at 56 South Broadview, on the corner of Church Street and Highway 65 in Greenbrier. This convention had its origin in 1879.

LifeSong will also host the Arkansas-Oklahoma Gospel Singing Convention on Friday, Aug. 22, at 6 p.m., with refreshments following and Saturday, Aug. 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be a potluck lunch at noon.

Officers are Larry Hutson, president; Roy Guiltner, Arkansas vice president; Thomas A. Williston, Oklahoma vice president; Karroll Morphew, secretary-treasurer; and Freddie Mark Wilcox, pastor.

Singers, pianists and all who have an interest in gospel music are invited to attend.
