Katherine Lee Flanagin, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. J.H. Flanagin, entertained today with a swimming party at Kuykendall’s pool, followed by a delicious breakfast, in honor of Mozelle Mitchell and her classmates. Mozelle and her parents. Mr. and Mrs. S.D. Mitchell, are leaving this week for Russellville to make their home.

Boy Scouts Ted Smith, Jack Thompson, Pete Pittman, John Doolos, all of Conway, and Jim Wade, of Winnepeg, Canada, will attend the sixth National Jamboree July 17-23 at Valley Forge State Park, Pa. More than 50,000 Boy Scouts and Explorers will participate in the encampment.

Nancy Spatz, Miss Conway 1989, waved to onlookers Saturday as Mike Stout helped her into a limousine before she left for Hot Springs to compete for the title of Miss Arkansas 1989. Miss Spatz of Conway, was crowned Miss Conway at a pageant in April at the University of Central Arkansas.

Amy M. Donoway of Conway was named to the Dean’s List at West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas. She is a senior sociology major.

The Conway City Council will consider rezoning properties, reclassifying a city position and rebidding a project during its regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Russell L. “Jack” Roberts District Court Building.
