BJ Fox: The Fox's Den, July 1

Step into my den, pull up a comfy chair and a cup of tea and let’s chat.

It is always with great pleasure that I am able to meet and photograph so many of our local people when I’m “on the job” for the Log Cabin. Such was the case when I met the delightful couple, Harry and Jackie Brown, at Wooster’s July 4 celebration. We had a good laugh over our names, because my maiden name is Brown, making me BJ Brown Fox!

Jackie told the story of her former name being White, so they were once introduced as Mr. and Mrs. Harry Beige!

My, my! The things we learn when out and about!

The Red Cross called me this week to remind me of my appointment to give blood. They will be at the Greenbrier City Event Center on July 10 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in their mobile unit. Summer is always a time when extra blood is needed, and this is such a worthy cause. Walk-ins are welcome that day. Just remember to be well nourished and drink lots of water prior to going.

I am excited about “Arsenic and Old Lace” coming soon (see the calendar). I only wish I had the time to be in another play with the Conway Dinner Theater; but I’m afraid I am already over-booked. I’m looking forward to photographing their dress rehearsal on July 8 so I can feature them in our July 15 edition.

Many of our local folks travel to Conway for rehearsals every evening for six to eight weeks to put on a show for our entertainment. It’s always fun. Mark your calendars.

Of course, many of you are now accustomed to viewing my photographs online at www.spotted.thecabin.net and are sending me comments. Thank you for your kind remarks.

’Til next time...
