Individuals to help tornado survivors with damaged goods

On Saturday, June 14, a group of individuals will be taking in damaged keepsake items (cloth only) and repairing them free of charge for tornado survivors.

The intake location will be at the Ministry Building, 701 Polk St. (corner of Polk and Harkrider) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Examples of cloth items are grandma’s quilt, a special dress or a child’s favorite stuffed toy or blanket.

There will be a consultant on hand who will examine the item and tell the owner if it can be repaired.

This service is offered by individuals who love to sew and want to serve.

To donate services and time in this effort or for more information, call Janet at 501-654-2450 or 501-745-1157; Linda at 501-206-5169; or Myra at 501-679-4315.
