Family & Friends Day

New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate its Annual Family & Friends Day at 10:15 a.m. Sunday, June 8.

Special guests will include Pastor Leon Bobo and Gold Hill Baptist Church of Atkins, and the Rev. William Wesley of Greater Galillee Baptist Church in Little Rock. The theme for this service is “Let’s have a good time, celebrating the Lord’s Day,” coming from Psalm 118:24. The Rev. William E. Forte’ Jr. is the host pastor. The public is invited.

The church is located at 8 Taylor Circle.

Cleo Raynor Children’s Choir in Concert Sunday

The Ministry of Music and Fine Arts Division of the Greater Pleasant Branch Missionary Baptist Church will present the Cleo Raynor Children’s Choir in Concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 8. The theme is “Children Praising the Lord,” based on Psalm 150:6.

The public is invited. The church is located at 601 Spruce St.

Free concert at Calvary Church

Greater Vision will perform a free concert at 6 p.m. Sunday, June 15, at Calvary Church.

Gerald Wolfe, the group’s founder and emcee, sings the lead. Prolific songwriter Rodney Griffin, handles the baritone, while Chris Allman, also an outstanding writer, sings the tenor.

The Singing News Magazine and the Southern Gospel Music Association has named Greater Vision Gospel Music’s Favorite Trio. They have also received numerous honors for Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Video of the Year and Artist of the Year. Additionally, Griffin has been named Songwriter of the Year every year since 1998, as well as being named Favorite Baritone multiple times. Wolfe has been named Favorite Male Vocalist, seven times. Every day, Greater Vision is heard by thousands of radio listeners on traditional Christian stations and via Internet radio. They are also seen regularly on the In Touch Ministries TV program hosted by Dr. Charles Stanley, and have also been featured on the Gaither Gospel Series.

A multi-family rummage sale will be held from 7-10 a.m. Saturday, June 7, at First Presbyterian Church, located at 2400 Prince St.
