Sheriff Ed Speaker was notified today two peanut machines, each containing a small amount of pennies and peanuts, were stolen last night from the Playhouse, Locust Avenue and Caldwell Street. Entrance to the building was gained through a rear window.

Donna Wilson, 19, was named Faulkner County Senior Rodeo Queen Saturday night. The event was held at the YBMA Fairgrounds arena. Miss Wilson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl F. Wilson, succeeds Mary Faulkner. Jo Ann Eaton, 15, was chosen junior queen. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Eaton. Miss Wilson will be entered in state competition at Fort Smith.

William Henry Grell, a 1989 graduate of Greenbrier High School, will receive a $1,000 scholarship from the Shelter Insurance Foundation which is sponsored and partially funded by Billie C. Stewart, local Shelter agent.

Conway’s Ashley Avra is the recipient of the first FCA-Cliff Garrison scholarship.

She will receive a $1,000 scholarship, name in honor of Arkansas Hall of Fame coach Cliff Garrison, the Hendrix men’s basketball coach for 31 years.
