Mrs. Ailta Moody entertained Nora Ann Williams and her little friends at a birthday dinner Saturday. Those attending were Mrs. Lorene Hawks, Mrs. Emma Williams, Mrs. Lois Watters, Janice Carter, Marie Thessing, Geraldine smith, Bettie Sue Wofford, Rosie Lee Hawks, Colleen Hoover and Virginia Gwatney. A linen covered table was centered with a vase of red roses and 15 candles covered a beautiful chocolate cake which was served with cocoa. Mrs. Viola Townsend was co-hostess. Many presents were brought and after the dinner the group played games.

Conway girls who’ll attend Girls State in June are Lou Ann Curtis, Jane Mobley, Carol Schwarzlose, Sandra Fulmer, Peggy Moore, Nancy Dunaway, Janice Nixon, Susan Selig, Lynn Ligon, Rebecca Paulk, Kathy Goens and Annette Enderlin.

Roger Q “Tracey” Mills III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Q. Mills Jr. of Conway, recently was inducted into the University of Arkansas chapter of Phi Kappa Phi at an initiation banquet in Fayetteville.
Mr. Mills, a graduate student of the UA College of Engineering, is to graduate in May with a master’s degree in electrical engineering. He is a 1982 Conway High School honor graduate and received a physics degree in 1986 from Hendrix College. He is married to the former Mary Lewallen of Jacksonville.

Conway Regional Medical Center emergency room RN Bryan Martin received the Alan Smith Award from Arkansas Regional Organ Recovery Agency volunteer Rita Dobson, tissue procurement coordinator Bud Masker, manager of tissue recovery Tom Thompson and tissue procurement coordinator Anthony Francis. Conway Regional had the highest number of tissue donations for the entire state.
The award is given in honor of Dobson’s son, who was killed in a car crash at the age of 23.
