Easter Eggstravaganza at Church Alive

The Church Alive is hosting Easter Eggstravaganza at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19, on the church grounds. There will be a prize egg in each age division.

The church is located on Highway 65 North. Randy Long is the pastor. The public is invited to attend this free event.

Community Easter egg hunt

Copperas Springs Baptist Church will have its Community Easter egg hunt at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19. The church is located on Highway 25 North in Guy.

Easter Celebration at Woodland Heights

An Easter Celebration will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at Woodland Heights Baptist Church, 4215 Prince St. (Corner of Prince and Hogan streets).

Special Easter Services at Greenbrier Nazarene

Greenbrier Church of the Nazarene will hold Special Easter Services at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 19, and at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, April 20.

Community Easter Sunrise Services

The 2014 Community Easter Sunrise Services will be held, Sunday, April 20, at the Union Baptist Church, Lincoln and Walnut streets, where the Rev. Ricky Garner is pastor. Music will be provided by Delivered and the Easter message will be given by the Rev. Artee Williams, pastor of the Greater Pleasant Branch Baptist Church. Services will begin at 6 a.m. The public is invited to attend.

Antioch Baptist Easter Celebration

Antioch Baptist Church will have three services on Easter Sunday, April 20. The services will be at 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m. Childcare will be provided for preschool children during each service.

Greater Fellowship Christian Church First Service in New Sanctuary Sunday

There is a sense of anticipation in the air. Members of the Greater Fellowship Christian Church of Conway are gearing up to move into their new sanctuary. For months, work has been going on at the church and the excitement has become contagious. The time has finally come.

The church will hold its first worship service in its brand new facility on Easter Sunday morning, April 20, at 11 a.m. The church is a multicultural, non-denominational church. The public is invited. The church is located at 1 Wildwood Dr. in Conway off of Highway 365. A dedication service will be held at a later date. For more information about GFCC, call 501-428-4610.

Catholics Returning Home

St. Joseph Catholic Church, located at 1115 College Ave., is offering a special program designed to help non-practicing Catholics return to the Church. Entitled Catholics Returning Home, this series take place every Thursday evening from April 24 through May 29. Sessions begin at 7 p.m. and conclude at 8:30 p.m. They will be held in the Parish Administration Office Conference Room. 

The six week series includes such topics as: The Church Today; Explanation of the Mass; Explanation of the Sacrament of Reconciliation; and Explanation of the Nicene Creed. The sessions are free and childcare will be provided.
