A picture painted of Dr. Neal D. Buffaloe at the dedication of a science laboratory at the University of Central Arkansas in his name as a gifted teacher, administrator, author, musician, preacher and warmhearted friend of all came into focus before an assemblage of admirers Thursday.

Buffaloe was hailed for his 30 years of service to the university during the fete that attracted university officials, friends and former students.

In his remarks, Buffaloe thanked the group profusely and called the dedication of the lab a great honor for him. He also gave thanks to his parents, who were schoolteachers. And he noted with pleasure that UCA is putting a renewed emphasis on teacher training.
