Kevin B. Ferrell, 16, son of Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Ferrell, has been advanced to Eagle Scout. A St. Joseph High School junior, he is a member of Explorer Post 78. A.J. Hambuchen Jr. is the adviser.

Georgia Stubbs, 7, of Conway, daughter of Patricia Robichaux and George Stubbs and stepdaughter of Michael Robichaux, all of Conway was named photogenic and beauty winner of the Easter Sweetheart Pageant held March 19 in Searcy.

Miss Stubbs received a crown and stuffed toy for the photogenic award and a crown, trophy and large Easter basket for the beauty award.

Miss Stubbs is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Oliver of North Little Rock.

The Conway Wizards, a 7th-grade AAU basketball team, recently played in the 12th annual March Madness Invitational at North Pulaski High School in Jacksonville. The Wizards were split into two teams for the competition.

The following Wizard players were on he team that won the 7th grade championship: Doral Criswell, Josh Rittman, Reginald Davi, Jamar Strickland, Matthew Holbrook, Terry Tidwell, Josh Mayfield, Josh Toney, Tucker Moix, Dametrius Virgil and Preston Purifoy.
