Cliff Hicks will demonstrate the Alexander Technique at 2 p.m. March 23 at the Faulkner County Library.
People from all walks of life have used the Alexander Technique to reduce unnecessary tension and improve coordination. The work is conveyed through the hands of a trained teacher to restore your sense of original support, upright balance and coordination as you engage in the activities of living.
This introduction will be followed by a four-week course offered by the Community School of Music at UCA. Classes begin on April 6.
Cliff has been a certified teacher of the Alexander Technique since 1992 and is a member of the American Society for the Alexander Technique. He has worked with students throughout the U.S. and Europe. He teaches in Benton, the Community School of Music at UCA, Henderson State University, and he offers clinics at the Hot Springs Music Festival and Arkansas State University.
