G.L. Bahner has bought a residence at 1613 Simms St. from John M. McAlister of Russellville, who formerly lived here. Mr. Bahner bought the property as an investment.

The Green brier Panthers and their coach, Charles Gassaway, gathered around the state Class B junior boys championship trophy minutes after they won it Saturday night at Greenbrier with a 52-37 victory over Flippin. Members are Jimmy Reynolds, Tommy Watson, Bruce Vann, Ronnie Glover, Russ Benton, Dickie McMillen, the mananger, Les Burgess, Dewayne Branham, Ronnie Mauldin, Eddie Glover and Lyndell Atkinson.

Katy Montgomery of Conway recently qualified for the Class IV state gymnastics meet, which will be held tomorrow at the University of Arkansas.

Montgomery qualified in the 10-year-old age division at the Class IV Sectionals in Fort Smith. Montgomery placed fourth in the vault and sixth in the uneven bars and the all-around.

Montgomery is a member of the Ozark Gym Twisters.

The Purple Panthers, a 13-year-old volleyball team coached by Heather Law and Hilary Watt, recently won the Silver Bracket at Fort Smith’s Battle of the Fort. Members are Whitney West, Kayleigh Ratliff, Lindsey Boone, Danielle Young, Rosalie Meriweather, Ashley Cyr, Jenny Beth Davis, Jordan Berry and JoLeigh McManis.
