Guy-Perkins bowlers place in district tournament

Guy-Perkins girls finished third behind champion Elkins and St. Joseph at the 1A-3A district bowling tournament at Lowell.

Senior Ashley Hicks placed seventh individually with scores of 133, 147, and 157, for a total of a 437 series. Junior Abigail Smith was ninth with a 431 series. Both Hicks and Smith scored in the top 15 percent of all the bowlers for all-conference recognition.

Juniors Sara Stevenson and Morgan Hooten both tied with a score of 357.

Team members contributing to the total girls team pins were Brianna Duncan, Miranda Graham, Ericka Rimmer, Harleigh Lagasse, and Hannah Rimmer.

The boys did not place in the top five. The team consisted of Trey Owens, Cole Dixon, Jon Holt, Brandon Dowdy, Alan Kennedy, Cole Webb, Shane Hicks and Dylan Perkins.
