Step into my den, pull up a comfy chair and a cup of tea and let’s chat.
This is Valentine’s week — not just THE day (which is Friday for all of you who forget) but many are celebrating all week — even all month!
February is American Heart Month, so it’s a good time to eat healthy and check your vitals. Hugging is now a proven, scientific way to lower blood pressure and stress and give that extra momentum to success that everyone needs. Don’t hold back on hugs for your kids and loved ones as they start their day. Don’t forget — school is in session Friday, Feb. 14 to make up a snow day.
After Reba Holland closed my favorite chocolate store in town, Sweet Temptations, I can now pass on the fact she makes her chocolates for the Fudge Factory located in Pickles Gap. Great Valentine’s gift!
If you are looking for that perfect gift for your Valentine, the Faulkner Academy of Arts is putting on a live cabaret-type show with an evening of music from sentimental to sublime, true to life to absolutely silly. You can bring your sweetie by after dinner at your favorite restaurant and have dessert with them. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.
Order a special plate of pie, fruit and candies or dessert ahead of time by calling 501-339-7401 or email faulkneracademyofarts.org. The theater is at 2201 Washington Ave., Conway. Donation is $10. Enjoy V-Day!
Last week’s ice storm forced the delay of the Conway Women’s Chorus’ last open rehearsal to tonight at 7. Go to 2201 Washington Ave., Conway, for fun and singing.
