The Faulkner County Office of the State Revenue Department will be moved Monday from the sheriff’s office in the courthouse to the Conway City Hall, H.L. Clark, sales tax auditor, and Forrest Kessinger, inspector, announced today.

Miss Judy Leona Lester was married to Larry Clyde Jumper on Saturday, Jan. 25, at the First Baptist Church in Jasper, Texas. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. L.C. Lester and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Jumper, all of Jasper.
The bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. J.P. Jumper and a nephew of Mrs. Victor Halter of Conway.
The couple will make their home in Nacogdoches, where they are students at Stephen F. Austin College. The bridegroom is a senior pre-dental student.

Raymond Pritchett of Maumelle, formerly of Conway, was elected Wednesday as chairman of the state Highway Commission.
Pritchett was appointed to a 10-year term on the commission in 1981 by Gov. Frank White. He represents the 2nd Congressional District, which includes Faulkner County.
Pritchett live in Conway about eight years. He is a 1963 graduate of Hendrix College and played football for Hendrix before the team was disbanded in 1960.

Mary Beard, founder of the Pine Street Free Clinic, was named the Volunteer of the Year by the United Way of Faulkner County at the United Way’s 2004 victory celebration. The clinic received a $250 donation from Regions Bank and Beard received a $100 savings bond from the bank.
