Rachel's Rumors: Save room for more cupcakes

All signs point to Bliss Cupcake Cafe opening on Monday. If you need a reminder, Conway’s newest cupcake supplier will be located at 625 Salem Road, Suite 1. That’s across from the Conway Regional Fitness Center, so it all balances out if you go both places.

Bliss Cupcake Cafe originated in Fayetteville, and so I expect it will have a home-grown appeal to it. Also, if you look at the menu, there are about seven thousand flavors of cupcakes (have we ever discussed my tendency to exaggerate?), including a lot of gluten free options and a vegan chocolate cupcake.

Judging from the number of likes on its Facebook page, the place has been discovered and its opening is eagerly awaited by the public. Maybe I’ll see you there.

Opening next month

In the new shopping center across from the Hilton Garden Inn, a new flower shop is about to open called The Flower Booth. Laci Booth will be the on-site floral designer, I’m told. The shop will have fresh flowers, silk flowers, locally made soaps and lotions, home decor, handmade wooden picture frames, artwork by a local artist, etc. The shop will also have a drive through, which I suppose will be really convenient for picking up a little something for your sweetie on your way home on Valentine’s Day.

Construction starting soon

A lot of people have been asking me when construction is going to start on the new Chick-fil-a on Prince Street by the Walmart Neighborhood Market. The word on the street is that it should be very soon, as in the next month or so. I’m sure a lot of rain, sleet or snow could change that, but we’ll hope for plenty of sunshine. Anyway, you’ll get your chicken sandwiches and your waffle fries before it gets hot outside, almost certainly. There’s something to smile about.

That’s about it for now. Keep in touch if you have rumors. Have a great week.
