Faulkner basketball roundup: Junior high results for Conway Blue, St. Joseph and Greenbrier

BENTON — The boys teams from Conway Blue won two games Monday night against Benton teams.
The Blue (6-6, 1-1) won the ninth-grade game, 42-36. Leading scorers were Gentral Taylor and Darius Tate with 16 each.


The Blue (6-5) won the eighth-grade game, 43-38, in overtime.

Jaren Richards scored 17 points for Conway and Devin Clark added 11.


GREENBRIER — Greenbrier defeated Clinton, 14-10, in seventh-grade girls basketball Monday.

Lanie Ford led the Lady Panthers with five points, Claire Drewry had four and Jayden Glover, three.

Clinton won the B game, 12-6. Kailey Hamilton, Jaylynn Van Pelt and Sara McGee scored two each.


St. Joseph junior high teams swept South Side of Bee Branch in four games Monday at the St. Joseph Family Activity Center.

The Bulldogs won the junior boys game, 45-21.

Daniel Lee Kordsmeier had 10 points, seven assists and five steals. Gage Berger had 10 points and four rebounds. Jacob Welter had eight points and five rebounds. Daneil Beck added six points and five rebounds. Spencer Pope and Jensen Kordsmeier had three points. Brad Vandivere had three assists.

In junior girls, the Lady Bulldogs won, 45-15. Amber Briggler led with 13 points. Joanie Elsinger had seven, and Rachel Prall, Erin Sterka and Mary Hartman, six each.

St. Joseph won the seventh-grade boys game, 24-15. Leading scorers were Caleb Strack, eight, Jack Briggler, six, and Mason Elsinger, five.

In seventh-grade girls, St. Joseph won, 20-2. Piper Mullaney had 10 points and Natalie Ross four.

Trojans slip past UCA in OT
