The Junior Sub-Deb girls met for their weekly meeting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C.T. Ray. The following officers were elected: president, Patricia Leach; and secretary and treasurer, Virginia Smith. The resignation of Catherine Richy was accepted.

“Little Kent,” 2, may not know who’s ahead but he knows for which basketball team he’s whooping it up. He’s applauding for his daddy, Kent Ritchey, a playmaker with the Hendrix College Warriors. He played last night at the Arkansas State Teachers College-Hendrix game at the ASTC gymnasium. The Bears won 73-71.

Stan Goodman has joined the sales team of Freight Sales Co. Inc. in Conway He will serve as a sales manager trainee.

Goodman is the former owner and operator of Professional Car Care and Mr. Quik Lube in Conway.

Goodm and his wife Renee, have to children and reside in Conway.

Mallory Mann, a sophomore from Conway, scored 10 points last week for Pacific Lutheran College in a 51-46 exhibition loss to Simon Fraser.

Mann has started five games and is averaging 21 minutes and 2.4 points and three steals per game.

The Lutes are 6-2 and have received votes in the top 25 of NCAA Division III women.

The Conway City Council will consider rezoning properties, reclassifying a city position and rebidding a project during its regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Russell L. “Jack” Roberts District Court Building.
