Robert W. Mosley has been appointed chairman of the presidential ball to be presented here Jan. 30 for the Warm springs foundation.

(1964)

Mr. and Mrs. Don Tomlinson of Marshall are the parents of the first baby born in Conway in 1964.

A daughter was born to the Tomlinsons at 8:43 a.m. today at Memorial Hospital.

25 years ago

(1989)

Daniel Robert “Bob” Osburn has been promoted to second shift receiving supervisor at Virco Mfg. Corp.

Osburn joined Virco in September 1978 and has worked as an inspector, material handler and a Leadperson I for Department 71-2.

Osburn is a member of the Conway Bowling Association. He and his wife, Regina, have two children, Jennifer, 7, and Zack, 4.

Katie Oslica, a St. Joseph sixth-grader in Karen Samuhel’s religion class, made an Advent wreath in preparation for the holiday season. The students made their own candle holders from clay during art class and attached them to their wreaths of greenery and learned the prayers and traditions associated with the Catholic traditions.
