Dean Rogers, 145-pound “little all-state” halfback of the Harrison High School Goblins the past season, plans to enter the Arkansas State Teachers College at Conway in January, it was learned her. Rogers was one of the highest scoring halfbacks in Arkansas during the season just closed.

The Harrison boy is also an outstanding basketball player and will be a candidate for the Bears’ cage combination if he enters the Conway school.

Russ Morris of Conway, agent for National Farm Agency, has been appointed district manager for northeastern Arkansas, Robby C. Taylor, president of the Agency, announced today.

Morris is among the top producers of the company in real estate sales.

Taylor said that National operates on a wide scale advertising program.

Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Massey of Mountain View, Ark., and their children visited Breva Johnson of Conway last weekend E.E. Harrell of Conway, his daughter, Coreta Moorell of Mustang, Okla., and his sister, Cornelia Hanks of Choctaw, Okla., visited Mrs. Johnson last week.

Nikki Garrett, 8, daughter of Steve Garrett and Roberta and Brian White, grew a 26-pound cabbage as part of a project for class. She is a student of Tamera McMillan at St. Joseph Primary School. The cabbage was harvested on June 29 and produced 11 pints of sauerkraut.
