75 years ago


Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Ligon entertained the Howell Duplicate Club Saturday evening at their home on Davis Street. Pots of blooming cyclamen were attractively placed in the rooms where games were played. A delicious chicken pie supper, with a dessert and coffee, was served. Prizes were won by Mrs. J.M. Ligon and Frank E. Robins.

50 years ago


Mrs. Irene Gardner Slayden Clark and her husband, James H. Clark, are at home following their marriage at Pulaski Heights Methodist Church in Little Rock on Thanksgiving Day. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Slayden of Little Rock. She is a graduate of the Arkansas Baptist Hospital School of Nursing. Mr. Clark is director of athletics and basketball coach at Conway High School.

25 years ago


Molly Wood of Conway, 2-year-old daughter of Erwin and Vicki Wood, was named Little Miss Snowflake in a pageant held recently by Delta Beta Sigma sorority. She received a crown and flowers for winning the pageant.

10 years ago


Beckie Shepherd arranged a nativity scene while setting up for an exhibit at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Dave ward drive. The exhibit of more than 350 nativity scenes on Saturday.
