The Faulkner County Library announces its Food For Fines program for the Thanksgiving season. The library will accept non-perishable food items from today through Nov. 22. Donated items will be shared with local shelters and food pantries for the holidays. The library will waive fines for overdue items when food is donated.
The library has a history of successful food and school supplies drives, with over 200 pounds of schools supplies donated to local school districts this fall. Past food drives during the holiday season and summer months have resulted in many hundreds of pounds of food donated to local shelters and food pantries.
