Two cars full of local Kiwanians will leave tomorrow for Kansas City, Mo., to attend the annual convention of the Mo-Kan-Ark district of Kiwanis international. The party, which will return to Conway when the convention adjourns Wednesday at noon, consists of Lieutenant-Governor H.L. Minton, W.D. Cox, L.P. Crafton, J.J. Kane, K.L. Estes, H.O. Weatherly, C.C. Calhoun and H.L. Clark.

Miss Martha Bolden was awarded a $25 gift certificate by the Phi Delta Chapter of Delta Beta Sigma Sorority Monday. Members of the sorority had sold 1,000 raffle tickets. Miss Bolden, a senior at Conway High School, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Shaw.

Brent Best of Conway recently has been named manager of Ed Camp’s Men’s Store in Conway. Best is a native of Benton and a 1983 graduate of Benton High School. He attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where he studied marketing and will receive a degree in marketing from the University of Central Arkansas in December. He is a member of Sigma Tau Gamma social fraternity at UCA.
Best has worked at Ed Camp’s Men’s Store for the past three years as a salesman.

Vilonia High School Homecoming Queen Laci Jo Lawrence was escorted by her father Terry Lawrence from the school’s football field before the game Oct. 3. She is also a daughter of Diann Poore.
