Miss Kathleen Hobbs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M.H. Hobbs of Wagoner, Okla., formerly of Conway, who recently was chosen to represent Wagoner in the “Sooner princess” contest at the state fair at Tulsa, placed third in competition with 40 other girls in the finals at Tulsa Saturday. Her younger sister, Janice, student in Teachers College at Tahlequah, was chosen as band queen of the state fair and also served as chaperone for Kathleen. Both girls were students in Hendrix College last year.

Yesterday’s parade was decorated with several beauty queens and Miss Conway, who is Lynne Gleason of Dardanelle, was one of the prettiest. She rode in a white convertible accompanied by members of the Conway Junior Chamber of Commerce, who sponsored the Miss Conway pageant. Miss Gleason is a Hendrix College sophomore.

Michele Mills, a senior at Guy-Perkins High School, has been elected president of the Guy-Perkins chapter of the Future Homemakers of America for the 1988-89 school year.
Miss Mills has been an active member in the chapter for five years. She represented the chapter last year as Miss FHA.

Ronnie C. Wilson has been named director of student ministries at Meadowlake Baptist Church.
Wilson has been in ministry for almost seven years. He came to Meadowlake Baptist Church in Perry, Okla.
Wilson will be assisted in his duties at the church by his wife, Rebekah.
The Wilsons have been married for nine years. They have two children, Blake, 7, and Bryant, 5. They are expecting their third son in February.
