A school for training beauticians will be opened at an early date in the Frauenthal building next door south of Hinton’s, Mrs. Jack Dempsey, who will be owner and manager, announced today. Mrs. Dempsey said she would employ two competent instructors for the school.

Miss Lorene Bruich has joined the staff of the Central Arkansas Production Credit Association, Jimmie Ligon, manager, announced today.
Miss Bruich will be a clerk-stenographer in the Central office here.
She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1950 and later attended Arkansas State Teachers College.

Jenny Benton will be crowned Greenbrier High School Homecoming Queen at 7 p.m. tomorrow at Panther Stadium.
Miss Benton is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Benton.

Faulkner County Clerk Melinda Reynolds has been named to the state Voter Registration Advisory Committee.
Arkansas Secretary of State Charlie Daniels held the first meeting of the committee on Friday at the state Capitol. He appointed 10 Arkansas county clerks to the committee to review the current state of voter registration policies and procedures and to provide direction for any future changes that need to be made to the system.
