Mrs. Eva C. Radley’s private school for children began its 18th session Monday morning with a full attendance. After a short period of orientation, Mrs. Radley told the children the favorite story “The Little Red Hen and the Grain of Wheat,” and each child was given a lollypop, decorated to represent the “little red hen.”

You don’t have to remind a football fan his time of the year is here again. The first football of the season for Conway fans comes this weekend, and it is in a large dose. The Conway Wampus Cats play the Forrest City Mustangs; the State Teachers Bears open against Delta State of Cleveland, Miss.

Matthew Lewis Hargrove is proud to announce the arrival of his baby sister, Lacy Nicole.
She was born Sept. 6, 1988, at Conway Regional Hospital. She weighed 8 pounds, 2 1/2 ounces. Proud parents are David and Diane Hargrove of Damascus. Proud grandparents are Larry and Oma Hargrove and Pete and Syble Paul, all of Conway. Proud great-grandparent is Ruby Harkrider of Conway.

The Conway Lady Wampus Cats stayed perfect in AAAAA-Central play, but not without a fight from the Little Rock McClellan Lady Lions.
Conway (5-2, 2-0) blitzed past McClellan 25-10 and 25-11 in the first two games.
