Mrs. George F. Hartje was hostess to the Thursday Duplicate Club for its meeting and games at her home on College Avenue Thursday afternoon. A variety of flowers decorated the interior and at the conclusion of the series, Mrs. Hartje served a dainty salad course with cake and iced tea. Mrs. Alf Hamberg won the high score prize.

Mr. and Mrs. L.D. Dorsey of Greenbrier announce the engagement of their daughter, Carolyn Darlene, to Harold Dean Langley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Langley, also of Greenbrier.
The wedding is planned for Friday, Oct. 4, and will take place in the home of the bride-elect.

Ken J. Schulte has joined the electrical staff of Kordsmeier Remodeling Service Inc.
Schulte formerly worked four Mourot Electric in Little Rock.
He and his wife, Pamela Janes, will reside in the Conway area with their two sons and a West German exchange student.

Works by Young Arkansas Artists are on exhibit at Eastside Elementary School in Greenbrier.
Local artists included in the exhibition are Derek Gaidosek, Abbey Holley, Katie Reynolds and Devin Rust from Eastside Elementary School. Their group art project was called “Breaking the Ice Between Young and Old.”
