W.E. Castleberry, farm security administration supervisor in Faulkner County, today announced he had purchased the seven-roo home in which he lives at 1723 College Avenue from the Jefferson Standard Life Insurance Company of St. Louis. The home was built by the late Roy Bruce.

Mrs. Turner Hogan and Mrs. John Black are new teachers at Ellen Smith Elementary School. Mrs. Hogan will teach the fourth grade and Mrs. Black the fifth grade.

Gene and Nicole Hatfield of Conway recently returned from a visit to their home in Le Touque, France. The Hatfields and their son, Hadrian, attended the wedding of a cousin, Laurent Wable, in Lille France.
Mrs. Hatfield attended a workshop in Paris and Mr. Hatfield received a silver cup for paintings he exhibited in an art show.

Dr. Wesley Burks, a graduate of Conway High School and the University of Central Arkansas, has been appointed professor of pediatrics and chief of the Division of Allergy and Immunology at Duke University Medical School in Durham, N.C. Burks was formerly the chief of allergy and immunology at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock. He is a son of Arvil and Janet Burks of Conway.
