Conway High’s volleyball team has begun the season 3-0.
Tuesday night, the Lady Cats went to 3-0 with a come-from-behind, 19-25, 29-27, 25-23, 25-19 victory over Fayetteville on the road.
The Lady Bulldogs fell to 0-3.
Rachel Skinner had 39 digs and Alex Hreha had 15 kills and Mackenzie Dear, 10.
Sara Nethercutt added 45 assists for the Lady Cats.
Conway won the JV game, 25-16, 25-13.
Madison McNew and Amber Morrow had five kills apiece for Conway while Chloe Brinkley added four. McKenna Arnold had 11 digs and Morgan Mourot 18 assists. The JV team is also 3-0.
RUTH DOYLE/BOB COURTWAY VOLLEYBALL
Bob Courtway Middle School took a 25-15, 25-13 victory Tuesday over Ruth Doyle in seventh-grade volleyball. Ruth Doyle’s Blakelee Scott led all players with five aces and two digs while Olivia Parker had two aces.
Ruth Doyle won the B game, 30-28, 25-18. Jessica Watson led all servers with 12 aces, while Taylor McClure had four aces. Trinity Smith had two digs.
HENDRIX WOMENS SOCCER
CLARKSVILLE — University of the Ozarks took a 2-1 victory over Hendrix’s womens soccer team here Tuesday.
The Warriors (1-2) lost despite outshooting the Lady Eagles (2-0) 16-5 and 14-3 on goal.
The game was scoreless until the 36th minute when Ozarks midfielder Victoria Romero scored on a pass from Monica Seiler. Hendrix tied the game less than three minutes later when sophomore forward Sydney King ripped a shot through UO keeper Mary Eoff’s fingers.
The match remained 1-1 until the 82nd minute when Frances Adams knocked in Brooke Talmer’s shot off a corner kick to give the Lady Eagles the victory.
Eoff recorded 13 saves in goal for the Lady Eagles. Sophomore keeper Rachel Zweig had one save for the Warriors.
Hendrix will be back on the road Friday when they face Austin College in Sherman, Texas.
