Mrs. H.B. Jones was hostess to the Wednesday Duplicate Club Wednesday at her home on Locust Avenue. The rooms were attractively decorated with a variety of flowers and at the conclusion of the series, Mrs. Jones served a dainty salad course with iced tea. High score prize was awarded to Mrs. George F. Hartje.

The Faulkner County crew of the Arkansas Highway Department entertained with a fish fry at the maintenance headquarters on Highway 64, east on Conway, last night. Grady Lasley of Enola is the road foreman in Faulkner County. The guest list also included Faulkner County officeholders.

Corey Agee scored two touchdowns last night to lead Conway’s eighth grade football team to a 20-7 victory over Morrilton at Wampus At Stadium.
Agee scored on runs of 60 and 3 yards, Kelton McCuien scored the other Wampus Kitten touchdown on a 60-yard reception. Lamar Jones booted two three extra-point attempts.

Kristin Raper of Greenbrier and Jessica Furrer of Conway are two of 45 students who have received college scholarships from funds generated by the conversation license plates of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.
Raper is studying Agribusiness at Arkansas Tech University while Furrer is studying Broadcast Journalism at the University of Central Arkansas.
