The Summer Concert Series continues at the Faulkner County Library with the Lance and Peterson Families from 2 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 18.
The Lance family, Harry on hammered dulcimer, Rachel on fiddle, hammered dulcimer and mandolin, and Steve on lap dulcimer, will join David and Donna Peterson for an afternoon of singing, hoedowns, classical tunes, clogging, waltzing, and other dances on Sunday at the Library.
The Lances are dulcimer students of David’s and they have performed in various formats in central Arkansas for the last several years. David has been making dulcimers for more than 30 years and they will be playing his custom made instruments. Also joining in the fun will be Fred and Cathy Fischer, Round Dance instructors, who will be demonstrating some of the dances that go with this music.
Refreshments will be served.
All library events are free and open to the public. For more information, call the library at 501-327-7482 or email Nancy@fcl.org, facebook and twitter.
