NC State women adding UA transfer

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina State is adding Arkansas guard Dominique Wilson as a transfer.

Wilson, a native of Powder Springs, Ga., will sit out next season and have three years of eligibility remaining.

Wilson started 19 games as a freshman, averaging 6.6 points and 2.5 rebounds in 23 minutes per game.

Fourteen of those starts came in the final 15 games, where she averaged about nine points and three rebounds.

Wilson was a four-star prospect according to ESPN HoopGurlz out of high school.

New coach Wes Moore said in a statement he is excited to add a player who can stretch a defense with deep shooting range. He also says he expected Wilson “to make an instant impact” in the 2014-15 season.
